If you have ever doubted that the objective of Zionists is the elimination of Palestinian national identity please read this article from Zochrot published by the New York Review of Books. In 2012 the Israel State Archives in Jerusalem, in line with the thirty-year rule of declassification, released material covering Israel’s 1982 war in Lebanon.
The declassified documents include minutes of meetings between the Israeli Mossad, Israeli military intelligence and Lebanese Christian leaders over the fate of Palestinians. What is revealed is a pattern of false and dehumanizing rhetoric about “terrorists” that was used to justify unrelenting violence. The result was the mass murder of between 460 and 3,500 civilians, particularly in the camps of Sabra and Shatika.
Zochrot is an Israeli nonprofit organization based in Tel Aviv. It works to raise awareness of the Palestinian Nakba.
